The IVA Centre Web Site Privacy Policy
We consider your privacy to be very important. All information provided by you will be kept strictly confidential and will not be disclosed to any third party without your permission except in connection with any mortgage or debt advice application you make, or to our compliance advisers, our auditors, the Mortgage Code Compliance Board, or in accordance with the due process of the law.
Information relevant to your personal finances, insurance policies and your relationship with us will be held in the computer and manual records of The IVA Centre.
The provision of information to The IVA Centre means that you have provided explicit permission to process that information under the provisions of the Data Protection Act 1998.
Where the level of service you have requested requires our assessing the most appropriate product(s) for your needs, we may also need to provide your information to third party suppliers of personal finance products and insurance policies to enable them to advise effectively on your personal finances and insurance needs and/or to provide specific products or services to meet your requirements.
If you apply for a loan or mortgage, information provided by you may be passed to credit reference agencies. We will disclose to you, on written request, what information we have on our systems related to you, how we use it and give you the opportunity to review and correct any information we may hold.
Anti-Spam Policy
Any eMail addresses supplied by clients of The IVA Centre will not be sold or hired to third parties.
Newsletters, eZines and other eMail-based offers
If a user wishes to subscribe to our newsletters, eZines, eMail Alerts, eCourses or partnered eMail subscriber-offers, we ask for contact information such as name and email address.
Subscribes can unsubscribe at any time.
Surveys & Contests
From time-to-time our site requests information from users via surveys or contests. Participation in these surveys or contests is completely voluntary and the user therefore has a choice whether or not to disclose this information.
Information requested may include contact information (such as name and postal address), and demographic information (such as post code, age, gender).
Contact information will be used to notify the winners and award prizes. Survey information will be used for purposes of monitoring or improving the use and satisfaction of this site.
Tell-A-Friend
If a user elects to use our referral service for informing a friend about our site, we ask them for the friend’s name and email address.
We will automatically send the friend a one-time email inviting them to visit the debt-advice-bureau.co.uk site. This information is stored for the sole purpose of sending this one-time email.
Log Files & Visitor Analysis
In an endeavour to maintain a superior service for clients, we use SiteMeter to analyse traffic to this web site. SiteMeter does not create individual profiles for visitors. Unlike some tracking services SiteMeter does not have a database of individual profiles for each visitor. SiteMeter only collects aggregate data.
Sharing
Where partnerships with other companies are formed, we will share aggregated demographic information with them. This is not linked to any personal information that can identify any individual person.
Where we use an outside shipping company to ship orders or use a credit card processing company to bill users for goods and services. These companies do not retain, share, store or use personally identifiable information for any secondary purposes.
We may partner with another party to provide specific services. When the user signs up for these services, we will share names, or other contact information that is necessary for the third party to provide these services.
These parties are not allowed to use personally identifiable information except for the purpose of providing these services.

Notification of Changes
If we decide to change our Privacy Policy, we will post those changes on our Homepage so our users are always aware of what information we collect, how we use it, and under what circumstances, if any, we disclose it.
If at any point we decide to use personally identifiable information in a manner different from that stated at the time it was collected, we will notify users by way of an email.
Users will have a choice as to whether or not we use their information in this different manner. We will use information in accordance with the Privacy Policy under which the information was collected.
